About to Invest in a UAS!

After careful consideration, and quite a bit of research I'm about to invest in a UAS (unmanned aerial system) or as many know them... a Drone! Ascent AeroSystems of Newton, CT has recently reached their Kickstarter funding goal of $200,000 for the Sprite, their back-packable drone design. "A tool, not a toy." as they put it holds the potential for a myriad of applications, from remote sensing to search & rescue, agriculture and entertainment to name just a few.

Of particular interest to me are Agricultural applications, where I see this system holding great promise for the distribution of pheromone based insecticides and possible bacterial chemotaxising materials which could be useful for water and soil recovery from pollution and even radiation.
